Announcing the 1st MSCN International Film Music Prize!

It’s here!

🎬🎶 We’re excited to announce the 1st MSCN International Film Music Prize — a new international opportunity for emerging and early-career film composers ready to challenge their craft at a professional level. Created by the MSCN Film Music Festivals Academy, the competition invites composers worldwide to write an original score for an exclusive sequence from The End of The Neubacher Project (2006), directed by Marcus J. Carney, with the jury focusing on dramaturgical timing, emotional restraint, and the powerful use of silence and space in storytelling. Submissions will be reviewed by the film’s director and an international jury of composers and industry professionals, with one Gold MSCN Award (including a professional orchestral recording with the Budapest Pannonia Film Music Orchestra at Pannonia Studios and mentoring) and two Silver MSCN Awards (full scholarships to the MSCN Film Music Festivals Academy). 🌍 The competition is open to composers worldwide regardless of background or experience. Early Bird registration runs until 30 April 2026, the final submission deadline is 16 June 2026, and winners will be announced during SoundTrack_Cologne 23 (14–17 July 2026). If you’re ready to tell a story through music, this is your moment. ✨🎼
