Announcing the 2026 Budapest Summer Film Music Conducting Workshop

Applications are now open for the MSCN Budapest Summer Film Music Conducting Workshop 27th – 30th August 2026 with the Pannonia Film Orchestra Budapest at Pannonia Studios, led by Maestros Jonathan Brett and Dr. Yati Durant.

The program includes online workshops on 18–19 April 2026, followed by in-person tuition and preparation of the conducted works, culminating in 30 minutes of podium time with the 29-piece orchestra. All sessions will be recorded at the highest professional level by the engineers at Pannonia Sound Studios, and may be used in participants’ films and demo reels.

Film composers and conductors looking to elevate their professional skills are encouraged to apply.

The application deadline is 28 February 2026.

All applications will receive a free introductory conducting course (or video recordings) directed by Maestro Jonathan Brett and provided by Conductors Academy.
